Recent restaurant inspections: Find out who didn’t get ‘A’ grade in the Myrtle Beach area

Each week the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control performs routine and follow-up restaurant inspections in South Carolina, we receive a report for the Myrtle Beach area and can see how our local restaurants scored.
Three restaurant’s in the Myrtle Beach area did not receive a high enough score to earn an “A” in routine restaurant inspections recently performed by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. Here are the results from the reports:
Harry The Hats in Myrtle Beach received 80 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 13 according to the report they will receive a follow-up inspection within the next 10 days.
Inlet Provision Company in Murrells Inlet received 85 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 9. according to the report they will receive a follow-up inspection within the next 10 days.
Smuggler’s Den in Murrells Inlet received 80 percent “B”in a routine inspection on Jan. 12 according to the report they will receive a follow-up inspection within the next 10 days.
These facilities will receive a follow-up inspection within 10 days, according to the SC food grade report.
Last week it was reported that eight restaurant’s in the Myrtle Beach area did not receive a high enough scores to earn an “A” in routine restaurant inspections which were recently performed by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. Five of those eight restaurants received follow-up inspections and here are the results from the reports:
Daddio’s in Little River received 78 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 6. Daddio’s has not had a follow-up inspection at the time of this most recent report.
Bojangle’s in Loris received 79 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 4. They had a follow-up inspection on Jan. 6 and received 93 percent “A” score.
Early Riser Diner in Myrtle Beach received 83 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 5. Early Rise Diner had a follow-up inspection on Jan. 12 and received 98 percent “A” score.
Golden Kitchen in Surfside Beach received 81 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan 5. Golden Kitchen received a follow-up inspection on Jan. 13 and received 98 percent “A” score.
Ocean Lakes - Meet & Eat in Myrtle Beach received 83 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 3. Ocean Lakes - Meet & Eat had a follow-up inspection on Jan. 12 and received 93 percent “A” score.
Sushi King Steak and Seafood in Myrtle Beach received 78 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 3. Sushi King Steak and Seafoood has not had a follow-up inspection at the time of this most recent report.
Waffle House #1626 in Myrtle Beach received 83 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan. 4. Waffle House #1626 had a follow-up inspection on Jan. 13 and received 95 percent “A” score.
Crooked Hammock Brewery in Myrtle Beach received 82 percent “B” in a routine inspection on Jan 3. Crooked Hammock Brewery has not had a follow-up inspection at the time of this most recent report.

Inspection Rating Key
A | 100 - 88 - The retail food establishment earned more than 87 points. Food safety practices appeared to meet the requirements of Regulation 61-25.
B | 87 - 78 - The retail food establishment earned 78-87 points. Food safety practices need improvement.
C | 77 & Below - The retail establishment earned less than 78 points. Food safety practices need significant improvement.
R | Indicates a Routine Inspection - Unannounced and conducted on a frequency determined by the facility’s Risk Category on a frequency of one to four times a year.
F | Indicates a Follow-Up Inspection - Conducted within ten days of a Routine Inspection that requires follow-up verification.
