A seafood restaurant overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway in North Myrtle Beach is not closing despite internet rumors.

Filet’s is only closed for the month of December, according to a Friday Facebook post.

The restaurant plans to reopen come the new year. Attempts to reach the owners were unsuccessful.

It is not clear why the rumor started but a conversation on Nextdoor, which is a social media platform for neighbors.
