34 food options to try at the 34th annual Myrtle Beach Taste of the Town

Tuesday, October 17, will be “TASTE ‘n Good!” as St. Andrew Catholic School presents Taste of the Town 2017 from 4-10 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 N. Oak St., Myrtle Beach.

Poised as the Grand Strand’s largest culinary/social event of the year and Myrtle Beach’s original food festival, the 34th Annual Taste of the Town will include dozens of the area’s finest restaurants serving up freshly prepared appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Each booth will offer delectable “Tapas-style” items from their menus for $1 – $4 each.

Restaurants will compete for the following awards: Favorite Restaurant – Entrée, Favorite Restaurant – Dessert, Best Booth Design for both large and small booths, and People’s Choice & Kid’s Choice awards for favorite entrée and favorite dessert.

Entertainment has expanded and appeals to all age groups! Live entertainment will be featured to include DJ Rich Hargrove – plays it all…beach music, retro, dance, and R &B. Paul Grimshaw Band – local celebrity, freelance journalist, author and musician – providing live music at its best!

Maddie Hunt – St. Andrew Catholic School Alum who just signed with Playback Records in Nashville, Tenn.

The convention halls, with 100,000 square feet of space, will allow plenty of seating and ample room to mingle, and ATM machines will be available for your convenience. The Convention Center has expanded its parking areas and charges $5 for parking unless you have the city parking sticker.

Additional parking will also be available across the street from the Convention Center in the location of the former Myrtle Square Mall free of charge.

$5 Advance Admission Tickets can be purchased at all HTC locations, St. Andrew Catholic School at 3601 N. Kings Hwy. in Myrtle Beach and online at www.TOTMB.com. Admission is $6 at the door. Children 14 and under will be admitted free with adult. Food tickets are $1 and will be sold at the event.
