This being said, however, the restaurant still has a family-friendly environment.
“We like to consider ourselves family friendly, so we like to make sure all the families feel welcome at the same time all the guys are sitting down to watch sports,” said Lee Estes, manager at the North Myrtle Beach Hickory Tavern. “So, again, we like to be that destination for any occasion.”
Estes contributes this welcomeness to the wide variety of food on the menu.
“We have everything from your typical bar food and wings and cheeseburgers,” said Estes. “But we also have seven ounce center cut filets, we have chicken dishes, we have crab legs, we have cedar planked salmon dishes. So our menu really varies, just the same as our clientele does.”
And, of course, the restaurant offers a large selection of beer and cocktails.
The North Myrtle Beach location marks the sixth Hickory Tavern restaurant in South Carolina, and the 25th restaurant overall, and is adding 100 jobs to the area.
“We are a neighborhood restaurant with a sports passion,” said Estes. “We have passion for sports, and good music and teamwork, and those kind of great things.”
The new restaurant opened Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m., and will be open for dinner seven days a week starting at 4 p.m. Beginning Jan. 11, Hickory Tavern will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m.
The address for Hickory Tavern is 1580 Highway 17 North, North Myrtle Beach.
