Pastaria 811 in Myrtle Beach SC area celebrates being open for 20 years

Not many restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area make it 20 years. Pastaria 811 is proud to be one of them.

The Italian restaurant and bar turns 20 on Nov. 25 and is located off U.S. 17 in Pawleys Island. It is owned and operated by David Demer and his wife Mary Jo. David Demer is originally from Endicott, New York, but fell in love with Pawleys Island during an internship and has been in South Carolina ever since.

The menu originates from the Abruzzi region of Italy, according to Demer. All of the recipes derive from the small town of “Palmoli” in Abruzzi.  Pastaria 811 offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu.

“We enjoy getting to know our guests and we are very proud to have served you for 20 years and we look forward to continuing to serve you for many years to come,” the Demers have written on take-out copies of their menus. “Thank you from our family to yours!”

Pastaria 811 is located at 11359 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island. Call 843-237-5811 or visit
