Banditos sits oceanfront just off of the boardwalk — it was recently extended a block north to end here — and offers breathtaking views both inside and out.
It’s apparent this Myrtle Beach restaurant was laid out keeping its location in mind, as the seating arranged in such a way that whether you sit inside or outside at the deck or bar area you will have unobstructed sight of the rolling waves in the Atlantic Ocean.
Since 2000, Chef Mike Noble’s Vanishing Chef Catering and Chef Services has been providing private, corporate and special event catering in and around the Southeastern United States.
The moment you walk in Banditos you’re greeted with a smile in the entry area filled with authentic and tasteful decor, including stucco walls, Spanish tile and other great accents.
As the friendly staff escorts you to your preferred area for seating, you’ll surely notice how spotless the restaurant is. Everything in eyeshot is shiny and polished to a fine brilliance making Banditos welcoming and warm.
On my visit, My dining partner and I elected to enjoy a recent warm spell and had our meal outside on the expansive patio looking out at the water.
We noticed on the menu they have several menu items that would not be considered Mexican giving credence to the slogan on the menu: “Banditos, more than a Mexican Restaurant.”
While Banditos does offer great Mexican dishes including Homemade Guacamole, Tacos, Chimichanga, Burritos and even Adobo dishes, they have also put their own spin on recipes providing a fresh, new take on many appetizers and entrees.
The not-so-Mexican offerings we ordered were unexpectedly tasty including the Caribbean Jerk Salmon with Mango Salsa and Macadamia Nut-Crusted Trout with Artichoke Hearts drizzled with a Shoyu sauce (shown here).
Of course, for the beef eater in your group, Bandito’s also offers a 12 ounce Rib-Eye steak cooked to perfection.
We enjoyed both items and each of them were impeccably prepared and presented. The service was fast and very friendly.
A quick chat with our server revealed that there is a new chef at Bandito’s, replacing the restaurant’s original chef, and it’s obvious by looking at the way the plates arrive — looking as beautiful as a painting — that he cooks for the guests from his heart.
Banditos oceanfront Mexican restaurant in Myrtle Beach is certainly a “must” if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, great food, cold drinks, out of this world views and the trademark southern hospitality we on the Grand Strand are known for.
Bandito’s is conveniently located at 1410 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, within walking distance of many popular resorts, hotels and shopping you want. For more information visit BanditosMyrtleBeach.com or call 843-808-9800.
