As the weather continues to get warmer and the season nears, more and more Myrtle Beach campers will begin to roll into town, looking forward to “roughing it” near the beach at one of the area’s many campgrounds.
Those looking to save a few bucks on their spring camping excursion on the Grand Strand, will be glad to hear that KOA campground in Myrtle Beach will offer a free night of camping as part of its as part of Kampgrounds of America’s 11th Annual annual KOA Care Camps Big Weekend May 9-10.

In order to receive the free night, campers will need to stay as paying guests on Friday and will be awarded the free night of camping on Saturday.
This weekend event marks the unofficial start to the 2014 summer camping season for the campground and is being offered at KOA’s network of family-friendly campgrounds throughout North America.
In addition to the special camping promotion, the event is also the major fundraiser for KOA Care Camps, the official charity of Kampgrounds of America and the KOA Owners Association.
Donations raised during the May 9-10 weekend will go to benefit KOA Care Camps, a network of 55 specialized, medically equipped summer camps throughout North America that offer children battling cancer a true summer camp experience at no charge to their families.
For those visiting in June, KOA will also offer a “Kids Camp Free” promotion surrounding the Father’s Day holiday from June 12-16.
