With fall upon us, one Myrtle Beach area mall is opening several new stores.

The Coastal Grand Mall announced it was opening four new stores, according to a Monday, Sept. 11 press release.

The Coastal Grand Mall is located at 2000 Coastal Grand Circle in Myrtle Beach.

Of the stores, one will be open temporarily.

Spirit Halloween will be at the mall through Halloween so residents can get ready for the holiday. The store sells costumes, decorations and other spooky season essentials.

Coastal Grand Mall is also getting a new ice cream and dessert restaurant. Mr. Poppins is now open and serves crepes, homemade ice cream, cheesecake and egg bubble waffles.

Popularized in China as street food, egg waffles were originally made from eggs with imperfections that could not be sold at market, according to Bon Appétit.

Instead, grocers chose to turn their leftover eggs into waffles, which have distinct puffy circles to them.

Another new store already open at the mall is the discount outlet, fiveBelow. The store specializes in low-priced products for tweens and teens.

A recent Sun News survey found that Myrtle Beach area residents wanted more store options with discount and low-priced products.

The final store opening at Coastal Grand Mall is Space Battle, an airsoft shooting range.
