These are the best golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area, according to our readers

With golf courses dotting Horry County and nearby Brunswick County, N.C., the options are abundant for golfers in the Myrtle Beach area.

But not all courses are created equal, according to our readers.

The Sun News issued a poll for our readers to vote for the best golf course in the Myrtle Beach area, splitting the dozens of courses into north, central and south regions.

With nearly 300 votes cast, we’ve tallied the results.

In the north region, Tidewater Golf Club took 24% of the vote, more than any other course listed in this region.

The central region’s victor was Dunes Beach and Golf Club with 47 votes, or 29% of the votes for this region.

On the south end, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club garnered 37% of the votes in this region.

The poll was open for several days and was designed so people could vote as many times as they wanted.
