The Mel Sole Golf School, which regularly earns unanimous 5 star ratings on TripAdvisor and is annually named one of GOLF Magazine’s Top 25 Golf Schools in the U.S., is returning to the Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club. It is expected to reopen on July 1, 2017 at the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course facility, which is located on the south end of the Grand Strand and owned by Founders Group International (FGI).
Golf Instructor Mel Sole has a long history with Pawleys Plantation. The Mel Sole Golf School opened at Pawleys Plantation in 1991 and successfully operated until 2016. For the past year the school has been at Tupelo Bay Golf Center in Garden City, S.C.
Positive feedback from students of all ages and skill levels has resulted in Mel Sole Golf School receiving four of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence awards since 2012. Golfers who attend the Mel Sole Golf School testify to seeing serious improvement in their short games and increased distance off the tee. A number of students have also gone on to receive college golf scholarships.
