Conway wastewater plant likely dumped millions of gallons into Waccamaw River during flooding
Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority's Conway wastewater treatment plant stopped working Wednesday due to flooding, but it was back operational Thursday morning after dumping millions of gallons of untreated waste water into the Waccamaw River.
Anita Herring, who lives in The Havens at Barefoot Landing, spoke about the fire that destroyed her home Thursday. Firefighters worked to put out the fire which broke out around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The same day Tropical Storm Michael passed through South Carolina, Stephen Cagle, of Denton, North Carolina, recorded video of a strange cloud formation that was hanging over the Hooters at Myrtle Beach Mall.
