One dead after Saturday evening Highway 544 wreck

One person died following a wreck Saturday evening at Highway 544 and U.S. 501, according to Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.

The crash happened one mile south of Myrtle Ridge Drive around 10 p.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol website.

The name of the victim has not been released yet.
