For those of you who need 20,000 Ford Mustangs in the same place at the same time in your life, BUCKLE UP. Figuratively. And literally.

From July 18-24, Myrtle Beach Mall will host “Mustang Week,” which features, you guessed it, thousands and thousands of Mustangs to add to the already mundane traffic we are used to in the Myrtle Beach area. Events will be scheduled at venues around the area, such as “driving really fast” contests, and “squealing your tires” competitions at locations including Myrtle Beach Mall, Myrtle Beach Speedway and more. For a full schedule of events visit

Mustangs aren’t the only reason to get excited this week, the Third Thursday Concert On The Green at Market Common will host “Trial By Fire,” the Journey Tribute Band, July 21 from 7 pm - 10 pm at Valor Park in Market Common.

Not Steve Perry and the gang will perform all your favorite Journey hits like “Do Not Stop Believing,” and “Any Way That You Want It,” while beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks will flow plentifully.

As always, come early for a little shopping and dinner at one of eleven fabulous restaurants and top off the evening with the complimentary show in Valor Park. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and don’t forget the animals because dogs love Journey tribute bands too. Cats, not so much. No coolers or outside drinks allowed.

On July 24, dig out your Edwin McCain t-shirt from that box under your bed labeled “90s” and get ready to call your ex high school crush because Edwin McCain will be live at the Boathouse at 6 pm. It would’ve been super weird if it was anyone else other than Edwin McCain.

McCain has been performing for over 20 years now, touring year round. After recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of the universe, and providing the soundtrack to several Chad Michael Murray movies (I think) McCain now stays busy by performing upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the US as a solo artist, with his full band or his acoustic trio.

Recently McCain has begun flirting with the orchestra thing, performing with symphonies in select markets where he brings his powerful songs to majestic new heights.

Things don’t end with Edwin McCain though.

The “Hopped Up Tap Takeover” Event with the Oskar Blues Brewery will take place on The Deck at the House of Blues next Thursday, July 21 at 6 pm, featuring $4 Oskar Blues beers all night, with six beers to offer: Dale’s Pale Ale, Mama’s Little Yella Pils,Droppin’ Beets, Dagga Belgian Pale, and debuting in the Myrtle Beach market- Passionfruit Pinner Throwback IPA & Priscilla White Wit Wheat.

The Hizzle of Blizzles also has free live music from Whiskey Kiss on The Deck stage from 7-11 pm, with giveaways from Oskar Blues and HOB.
