Music lovers have big selection this weekend at House of Blues, Alabama Theatre, Pirate’s Cove | On the Fly
Pirate’s Cove Lounge
If you like music, then this is the week for you.
Starting on the north end, Pirate’s Cove Lounge in North Myrtle Beach, will feature Bullfrog July 7, Nicklebag of Funk on the 8th, and Diversity Band on the 9th. I said Nickel BAG, relax. On the rooftop deck you’ve got Austin Perry on the 7th, Timmy Pierce on the 8th, and Jeff Thomas on the 9th.
LeAnn Rimes at Alabama Theatre
If Timmy Pierce or Jeff Thomas don’t pack enough star power for you, then EXCUSE ME. Why don’t you head on down to the Alabama Theatre July 7 for an intimate evening with Leann Rimes at 7 p.m.
LeAnn will be getting her jam on acoustic style, and you can be there to witness it. I know you got employee of the month this past April, and that’s terrific, but LEANN has sold more than 37 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.
So she’s kind of a big deal.
Rimes is the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award, and was also the first country recording artist to win in the "Best New Artist" category. She has placed 42 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 13 of which are top10 hits, and has scored numerous hit singles in her career, including “Can't Fight the Moonlight" which went No. 1 in 11 countries, and "How Do I Live," which is the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Rimes is as an accomplished actress and author, including writing two children’s books Jag and Jag's New Friend, as well as the novel, Holiday in Your Heart and the inspirational book What I Cannot Change.
Wedding Bells for A Southern Belle
Also on the 7th we’ve got Wedding Bells for A Southern Belle at 7 p.m. at the House of Blues so, you’ve got a tough decision to make.
Wedding Bells for A Southern Belle is a unique evening of fun and entertainment and weddings and belles and wedding-esque things. A dinner theater show will be performed as a cheerful celebration of love of two very different ways of life as a Jersey Boy marries a Carolina gal. The audience, as wedding guests, don’t just watch but partake in the merriment themselves from the "I Do" to the last toast of the evening. You might even meet a bridesmaid.
The feasting and fun includes a three course Italian meal. Tickets are on sale now at the box office. Call 843-272-3000 for details.
The Deck at House of Blues
Shake Shake Shake will be on the Deck at the House of Blues all weekend, and if it wasn’t indicative from their name, they kind of like to shake. Bring your dancing shoes.
The Deck features Happy Hour until 7 p.m., fresh food from The Smokehouse and great drink specials nightly.
Moving on down the beach, we arrive at The Boathouse for Adelitas Way July 10, as part of their summer concert series.
Each and every Sunday The Boathouse brings national and regional artists to the outdoor waterway stage. Bring a small folding beach type chair, towel or blanket for their lawn style seating. All shows start at 5 pm, are FREE, and acceptable all ages. Come hungry and thirsty because that's how they keep these shows free for you.
