THE LOWDOWN
Mai Tai’s is nestled between Kings Highway and Ocean Boulevard and kissed against Family Kingdom, which is good because people of all ages are invited to swing by and try some of their new “bar food with a twist” or something cool to drink. The bar’s happy hour is 4-7 p.m. daily with $2.25 domestic bottles and $3 well drinks. Sing your heart out between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and grab a friend to play some cornhole, darts, pool or Golden Tee. What beachhouse would be complete without a tiki bar, which is scheduled to be ready during their Grand Opening weekend July 2-3. The new owners will have a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Friday and an appearance by an Elvis impersonator between 4-6 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. Sip a Traveler’s Grapefruit Shandy on tap or a Yuengling on tap and enjoy their back deck.
TIPS
Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone, but the view from Mai Tai’s deck is a perfect setting for fireworks off of 2nd Avenue Pier. Check when the pier will have fireworks and grab a seat on the outdoor deck.
