▪  The Grand Strand’s first Sub Zero Frozen Yogurt opened in Myrtle Beach just in time to make this summer season a little cooler. Sub Zero takes ice cream a little farther by creating it right before the customer’s eyes with liquid nitrogen. Guests can make their own unique flavor, or order a sensation.

Sub Zero ice cream starts with a base, such as cream, yogurt, or lactose free. From there, guests can decide on a flavor or combination, like cherry and cheesecake. Then there will be an array of mix-ins to perfect your dessert, with delicious brownie bites or mixed berries.

You can create your unique creamy frozen treat at 106 Sayebrook Parkway between 12p.m. and 10p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays they close an hour later. Call 843-293-7820 or visit subzeroicecream.com for more information on the process and all the flavors. Sub Zero also has a page for our local store under facebook.com/subzeromyrtlebeach.

▪  Mission BBQ in North Myrtle Beach is now ready to bring delicious barbeque with a heaping side of patriotism. Proudly and unabashedly, Mission BBQ serves those who serve, with all locations supporting local and national organizations that take care of our service men and women.

Brisket and pulled pork are just some of the available meats that can be ordered like a sandwich or on a platter. Sides are other Southern favorites like baked beans, green beans, and slaw. The restaurant also makes tea and lemonade which can be ordered in an American Heroes Cup that guests get to keep and simultaneously donate money to a good cause.

Located at 1380 U.S. 17 northbound, Mission BBQ is open daily. Monday through Saturday, their doors open at 11 a.m., then at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Weekdays they close at 9 p.m., on Friday and Saturday 10 p.m., and at 8 p.m. Sunday night. You can read more about this patriotic restaurant at mission-bbq.com, or call 843-510-0500 to reach the Grand Strand’s first Mission BBQ.

Extreme Pizza is all about taking fresh ingredients and combining them in whatever crazy way they can think of. Guests can also create their own version of an extreme pizza, including vegan and gluten-free.

Pizza isn’t the only extreme item here either, with the restaurant offering calzones, subs, salads, wings, and desserts. Our Broadway location also has dining with a view of the water, plus a full bar to make sure all your cravings are covered.

Extreme Pizza is open daily from 11 in the morning to 11 at night. Guests can call 843-808-9747 to find out more, or visit facebook.com/extremepizzamyrtlebeach. You can find this new restaurant next to the Ron Jon Surf Shop and across from Landry’s Seafood.

With a view of the lake, a great selection of beers, a selection of light eats, and live music, the Frothy Dog has everything it needs to become a new favorite for relaxing evenings.

This open-air bar is situated at 4834 U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach and is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Their page, facebook.com/frothydog, is frequently updated so guests know who to expect for the acoustic guitar sessions, or they can call 843-855-437-6849 to talk to an employee.
