Q) How long have you been a bartender?
A) Uhhh, about four years. I actually asked my old employer to teach me how to do it, and they had one of the bartenders train me, and they thought I was good, so they kept me on.
Q) What’s the most you’ve drank in a 24-hour period?
A) A lot. I don’t, I can’t even...a lot.
Q) Do you think the drinking age should be lowered to 18?
A) No. I do NOT, I see too many people that are over the age of 50 that just get hammered nowadays.
Q) If you get truly bad service, is it OK to stiff your bartender?
A) No. I mean if they’re just, a complete jerk, maybe? But, it’s...no, some people just always have a bad day and people don’t realize that.
Q) Favorite drink to make?
A) Well my personal favorite to DRINK is a Vegas Bomb so, I enjoy making them.
Q) LEAST favorite drink to make.
A) A Lemon Drop because I hate the sugar.
Q) Favorite daiquiri?
A) My favorite is the “Eye Candy” and the “Electric Lemonade” mixed together.
Q) Worst quality in a bar patron.
A) Pounding in the bar, or lifting your drink in the air when you’re ready for another one, because i get it all the time.
Q) Best way to get a bartender’s attention?
A) Without being rude? Maybe just say “hello, hey ma’am?” Which is definitely down in the south, you get ma’am, and i hated it when I first moved down here.
Q) Biggest bar tab you’ve ever seen.
A) Probably my own? About, seven or eight hundred dollars...actually no that’s a lie, up there I did see one for $29,000 one night. Well he went and got VIP and stuff like that as well, but he was in there with a bunch of employees, so.
Q) Hardest part about being behind the bar?
A) Probably, umm, when you get a bunch of needy people, all in one place!
Q) Signature drink?
A) My signature drink is the Blue Lagoon. It is uh, I prefer Don Julio. I like it a little bit better than Patron. Don Julio, splash of triple sec, a little splash of the blue curaçao, a splash of sour, and pineapple juice. And a little tiny splash of Sprite.
