jlee@thesunnews.com

Friday and Saturday

It’s Throttle Fest time, kids, which means get your ass to House of Blues and party with the likes of Strutter, a KISS tribute band, at 8 p.m. Friday night, and then Jackyl and D.B. Bryant at 9 p.m. Saturday.

You’re not going to want to miss these shows as the north side stakes its claim in the Spring Rally scene at the House of Blues. Ticket info can be found at 843-272-3000.

Saturday

Can’t wait for the ol’ Carolina Country Music Fest? We’ve got the perfect shin-dig for you this weekend then as they are ho-in’ down at the Local Grown Contry Music Fest beginning atv11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson Farm and Nursery, 1625 Bucksville Drive, off U.S. 701 south of Conway.

The Daisy Dukes and cowboy hats will be out as performers like the Kenny George Band, Jeremiah McGuire (yes, Jerry McGuire), Brad Long, Lewis Brice and Keith Anderson take over the barn... er.. stage to benefit the Children’s Recovery Center.

For tickets and info, call 843-236-1400 or email thompsonfarmandnursery.com.

Friday

Bikers are everywhere and so are asshole drivers, therefore someone in the area had the great idea to bring God into the action and bless the bikes during the third annual “Blessing of Motorcycles” for Myrtle Beach Spring Rally, which happens from 1-3 p.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church, on Cypress Avenue in Garden City Beach, east of U.S. 17 Business.

For information, call 843-651-3737, or email virginiay@saintmichaelsc.net.
