Bike Night at Suck Bang Blow

When it comes to bars named after sexual innuendoes, Suck Bang Blow in Murrells Inlet has got you covered.

Every Thursday this summer at Suck Bang Blow, beginning April 14, is Bike Night, featuring live music from 7-10 pm. Food and drink specials run from 4-7 pm, so come hungry, leave full. Bike Nights are sponsored by Red Line Power Sports, Coastal Victory, Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson, Kool-Aid’s Kustoms and Agentart Design. The SBB summer lineup:

April 14 – Piano 7 pm

April 21 – Slater Albry Band 7 pm

April 28 – Coman Sproles 7 pm

May 5 – Dellacoma Rio 7 pm

June 9 – Bike Night & The Vegabonds 7:30 pm

The Inhogural BaconFest 2016

When you’re done there, get on your bike and head over to the House of Blues April 16 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for the inhogural (because “hog") BaconFest 2016 event hosted by Nash FM 106.5 with FREE ADMISSION. That’s right, free. FREE. No dinero. Zero dolares.

Tru Sol will be performing live from noon til 2 p.m., and guests are invited to participate in sampling different items that feature bacon, so you’re definitely going. Seriously. The words “FREE” and “BACON” are together in the same listing and this event has nothing to do with PETA, so you’re going.

Event sponsors include Carolina Pride, South Carolina Pork Board, Evan Williams Bourbon, Surge and and House of Blues. And free bacon.

Abita Beer Dinner

April 20 from 7-9 pm make sure to fast during the day because Mellow Mushroom in North Myrtle Beach is hosting the Abita Beer Dinner. Come enjoy a delicious four-course meal paired with outstanding craft beers provided by Abita Brewing Company from the New Orleans, Louisiana area. Pairings include Blueberry Wheat, Seersucker Summer Pils, Big Easy IPA, Bourbon and Coffee Stout. Tickets are available in store, $35 or $25 for completed beer club members.

The Carolina Country Music Fest Battle of the Bands First Round

The Carolina Country Music Fest Battle of the Bands First Round will take place April 16 at The Boathouse.

The winner(s) will perform as support bands for the main acts at the upcoming Carolina Country Music Fest to be held June 10-12, so it’s kind of a big deal.

Bands to participate will be Randall Quiett, Shelly Waters, Brandon Bailey, Shawn Bilton, Courtney Dickinson, Brad Long, Ocean’s Orange, Kelly Cheats, Tiger Creek Band, Greyson Turner, Arvie & Bunny, Pinkerton & The Brinks, Morgan’s Road, Lauren Hall, Amanda Miele, the Rick Strickland Band, & Maddie Hunt.

The Horry County Fair

The Horry County Fair will be rolling into town April 15-24 at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, so the time to start that diet should be pushed back another week or so, because funnel cakes.

The fair includes live concerts featuring Mike Posner, Montgomery Gentry, HUEY LEWIS AND THE FREAKING NEWS, guys, Trace Adkins, and some internet celebrity named Nash Grier. Tickets are on sale now, so you should probably get on it because I hear Huey Lewis and the News are supposed to be there.

In addition to the power of love being performed live for your viewing and listening entertainment, the fair will also include the Robinson's Racing Pigs, the Petting Zoo, a Free Stage with Daily Shows, displays, and lots more things to see.

Of course a fair would be decidedly UNFAIR without its share of rides, so buckle up for all the rides you can think of from Strates Amusements. Wear your sweatpants because there will be plenty of Fair Food (corn dogs and funnel cakes and deep-fried EVERYTHING) play games, shop the fair vendors and get ready to have a lot of fun.

The Horry County Fair will be at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, 455 Hospitality Lane, Myrtle Beach. Located on hwy 501 directly beside the Tanger Outlet Mall. For more information go to http://www.myrtlebeachspeedway.com/hcfair
