On the Fly | Spring Fling with Tru Sol at Bourbon Street among things to do this weekend
Local Brews, Local Grooves festival
The House of Blues humbly invites you to attend the Local Brews, Local Grooves festival, the ultimate craft beer, food and music event, Saturday March 26 at 4 p.m. at the House of Blues North Myrtle Beach.
Enjoy the ‘grooves’ of Jeb Mac, Lizzie Tramps, the Paul Grimshaw Band and Jeremiah Reyes.
‘Brews’ include Fatty’s Beer Works, Southern Barrell, River Dog Brewing, Oskar Blues, and more.
You’re not gonna want to drink on an empty stomach, so enjoy soft pretzels, popcorn, TRIPLE GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES (yes that’s three grilled cheese sandwiches served as ONE grilled cheese sandwich. Can life GET any better? I submit that it cannot) and of course beer raised brats.
Tickets on sale now for $11 in advance, or $13 day of. Sampling wristbands are available for $15 (includes five tabs for 4-ounce beer samples or food items) and individual sampling tickets are on sale for $3 (each redeemable for 4-ounce beer samples or food items.)
Spring Fling Concert with Tru Sol at Bourbon Street
Join Bourbon Street Friday night at 7 p.m. for their Spring Fling Concert with Tru Sol.
Do a little dance, make a little love (but not in public) as Tru Sol grinds out their hits all night. Break out those dancing shoes and come throw down. It’s always a great time when Tru Sol takes the stage. Invite your friends, and cheers to spring.
The long-awaited Spring Fling party for locals is finally here.
Easter Potluck at Island Bar Surfside
Join Island Bar in Surfside March 24 at 3 p.m. for their first Easter Pot Luck dinner. IBS will provide the ham but needs your help with side items. Please let them know if you will be coming and what you will be bringing.
Dinner will be followed by great live music by the DMyers band. Keep in mind, smokers, this will be a non-smoking event.
EASTER Sunday
Easter Sunday is almost upon us, and the Myrtle Beach has plenty of activities to get as much caffeine and sugar into your kids as humanly possible.
The 32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at McLean Park at 93 Oak Drive in North Myrtle Beach, beginning at 10 a.m. March 26. Bring the kids to have their photo taken with Ms. Blossom, and the North Strand Optimist Club will be providing refreshments.
The Surfside Beach Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 2 p.m. on March 26. The event will be held at the Huckabee Recreational Complex on Spanish Oak Drive off Glenn’s Bay Road.
Have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Ripley’s Aquarium at 8 a.m. March 26 and enjoy a Buffet Breakfast plus meet the Easter Bunny and Sharkee and get your picture taken. The fun-filled event takes place from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Ripley’s Aquarium at 1110 Celebrity Circle in Broadway at the Beach. For more information or to make reservations, call 843-916-0888 Ext. 3272.
Don’t miss the Easter Bunny’s Brunch for a hippity-hoppity good time (they made me say that) and head over to the Children’s Museum of South Carolina on March 26 for Brunch with the Easter Bunny and much more. You can choose from two sessions: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $5 each for CMSC members and includes brunch, your picture with the Easter Bunny and an Egg hunt.
