▪  Fresh Greens is hoping to open their doors this month next to Tongy’s Shmackhouse in Conway. This new addition to University Commons plans to offer fresh and organic foods, mainly vegetables and fruits. This means salads and wraps, but also a juice bar using their own ingredients and juice presser. The restaurant is close to finishing construction, but no opening date has been announced. Visit them at Facebook.com/eatatfreshgreens to learn more or ask them questions.

▪ The first new restaurant constructed along the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet in almost two decades, The Claw House, celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony and announced their intentions of opening on the first of March. A lot of attention is already being focused on The Claw House, and not just because what it means for the area economically. Another restaurant on Business 17 along the Marshwalk brings up more concerns about traffic safety and how to make the parking lot of the new business as unproblematic as possible. For more information about The Claw House’s progress, visit their Facebook page under the restaurant’s name, or go to MyrtleBeachOnline.com.

▪ The empty lot where Planet Hollywood used to stand is already being considered by a buyer, Carolina Ale House. This restaurant branch known in the Carolinas has locations in Charleston and Wilmington, NC, which are the closest options Myrtle Beach has for this family-friendly sports bar.

Carolina Ale House has submitted their plans to the city of Myrtle Beach, but no conclusion has been reached. Keep up with The Sun News and The Surge to know if Carolina Ale House – or something else – will fill the space left by Planet Hollywood.

▪ A new craft beer experience will soon be available on Deville Street with the arrival of The Brass Tap. This is the first time The Brass Tap will be in South Carolina, and it’s sure to fit in at The Market Common.

Although the main focus is definitely going to be the amazing amount of craft beers on tap, the bar also plans on having a food menu. Each location has variations of their menus, but it looks like our Myrtle Beach location will have some great bar food, like burgers and pretzel pizzas. There will also be shareable dishes, sandwiches, nachos, and chili.

Construction is still underway, but this beer garden hopes to open by the end of this month. To learn more about this growing company, visit brasstapbeerbar.com, or drop by facebook.com/brasstapmyrtlebeach to stay up-to-date with their progress.

▪ Ron Jon’s Beer and Burgers on Waccamaw Boulevard is currently closed for renovations. This dive is known for being a good place to watch sports and enjoy some good Happy Hour deals. Fans are welcome to visit Facebook.com/ron-jons-beer-and-burgers to request more information, but currently they have not provided any updates. Their phone number will be disconnected during their renovations.
