New Luii’s open in Conway, another Dickey’s on the Strand
▪ Luii’s Grill on Church Street in Conway, originally slated to open mid-June, celebrated a fall opening. A steadily growing company based in the South, Luii’s is a family-oriented restaurant that offers great American food, like wings, burgers, and pizza. Although the Conway location has had a slow start, the company has high hopes given the success and popularity of their Calhoun site in Georgia.
Because the enterprise is made for those new to owning a restaurant, Luii’s in Conway is owned by a local hoping to serve locals. The restaurant is a great place for families to go because of its casual atmosphere and decent prices. Plus, Luii’s has a good kid’s menu.
Their wings and pizza options also make it easy for groups to enjoy, since wing orders go up to 50 pieces, and their larger pizzas are 16 inches. They have a little bit of variety for their sandwiches, calzones, and burgers as well. Hot dogs are also available, and most of these meals will come with fries and slaw.
Luii’s in Conway can be reached at 843-488-4808 for more information. Luii’s has a website, luiisgrill.com, where guests can get an idea of what to expect at the Conway location, and a Facebook page to see some more pictures and interact with the people behind the business.
▪ Soho Café and Bar on 407 21st Avenue in North Myrtle Beach has moved locations, but thankfully only across the street. The new location has made this already eclectic restaurant even more exceptional, now with the area’s first open-air rooftop bar and lounge.
Already known for their impressive array of international dishes, Soho is making strides to become even more renowned. Their new bar, aptly named Rooftop21, provides its own menu of salads and “bites” for guests using free-range chickens and eggs and natural grass-fed beef. They also attempt to use local and organic produce when available.
For more information regarding this fusion restaurant and their new lounge, drop by their website at sohomb.com or their Facebook page under Soho Myrtle Beach. A quick call to 843-443-9441 will have you talking to one of their employees instantly between the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
▪ Dickey’s Barbeque Pit opened mid-October in North Myrtle Beach and they celebrated for an entire weekend. This barbeque franchise is blowing up throughout the nation and the second location in the Grand Strand will surely make mouths water.
Dickey’s doesn’t just have the basic barbeque needs, though if you’re just looking for pulled pork or marinated chicken, you’ll be satisfied. But this barbeque joint doesn’t stop there, instead going on to offer Polish sausage, barbeque honey ham, and turkey breast. The restaurant also provides a nice spread of sides, with a ton of barbeque staples like beans, slaw, fried okra, even baked potato casserole.
Their meat plates and sandwiches definitely are a favorite, but it doesn’t have to be all about meat if you don’t want it to be (but it will still be involved). Dickey’s has baked potatoes, called bakers, and salads. Different locations have some dessert options as well, like pecan pie.
Located at 1416 Highway 17 N, Dickey’s can be reached at 843-663-0011 or at dickeys.com, their website which also takes online orders. Their Facebook page, under the same name, is very interactive with their fans and encourages them to participate in events. The North Myrtle Beach location is open daily from 11 in the morning to 9 at night, so swing by for some brisket or free ice cream.
