2015 Conway Ghost Walk : Spirits of the Lowcountry
South Carolina was once called one of the the "most haunted places in America," so naturally it seems appropriate during this Halloween season that we would go in search of these unearthly spirits for our own joy and amusement.
On Oct. 22 - Oct. 24 frmo 7 p/m/ - 8:30 p/m/, professional storytellers will weave tales of lowcountry haunts through the shadowy streets of beautiful downtown Conway. This Halloween event features seven storytellers sharing tales that are always spooky, sometimes humorous and guaranteed to become part of your family's Halloween tradition. Reservations are suggested, but if you're one of those people who don't care about other peoples' feelings then please, by all means, push and shove your way to the front of the line and visit the box office at the Conway Visitors Center on tour nights to purchase walk-up tickets for the next available tour.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting ConwayAlive.com or calling the box office at (843) 248-6260.

Ladies and Gents, boys and girls, it's that time, the 8th annual festival where we spell an entire month's name wrong! In honor of this event we will hereby eliminate all "c"s from the text.
The fun begins Oktober 23 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., and continues Saturday, Oktober 24 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Market Kommon. The festival isn't just for kollege students with fake IDs and dads who don't have to work tomorrow so why not drink all the beer, it's green, there is plenty for the whole family!
You'll get no Oktoberrest with all the fun and games for the kids, and you'll have an Oktoberfeast with 40+ vendors on hand to raise your kholesterol. Get Oktobermessed up with Oktoberfest beer, and go on an Oktoberquest through a pumpkin patkh! Oktoberfest steins are available, and look your very Oktoberbest with fake painting for the kids! (and adults too, let's be honest). There will also be inflatables there but I kouldn't kome up with a good "Oktoberfest" pun for inflatables. But worry not. They will be there.
Atalaya Fall Festival and Haunted Castle
All Hallow's Eve is quickly approaching and Atalaya Castle is ready to get their celebration on.
Join the Atalayans October 23 and 24 from 6 - 9 pm for the Atalaya Fall Festival and Haunted Castle, featuring two evenings of fright-fully fun family entertainment, featuring two separate haunted house attractions: A not-so-scary maze of creepy rooms for the ones who get scared watching Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and a Haunted Castle for the big boys who can go downstairs in the middle of the night and get a glass of water without turning any lights on.
Seriously you guys need to talk to someone.
For the younger children, there will be carnival games, children’s crafts, spooky cartoons on the big screen, s’mores, a bonfire, and more. And that's where I'll be.
The festivities will go down at Huntington Beach State Park, 16148 Ocean Hwy. in Murrells Inlet.
