Ladies and gentlemen, rev those engines! Mustang Week is here!
Starting July 14 with a meet and greet and the Palace Theatre, Mustang Week stretches through July 18 with a host of other events like fun runs and burnout contests at Myrtle Beach Speedway, a car show at Myrtle Beach mall and more.
Here’s the lineup of events:
▪ July 14 | Meet and greet at the Palace Theatre from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
▪ July 14 | BFGoodrich Autocross Driving School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m.
▪ July 15 | Gateway Classic Mustang Autocross at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
▪ July 15 | Stifflers Speedway Fun Runs at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
▪ July 15 | SVTPerformance Burnout Contest at Myrtle Beach Speedway at 6 p.m.
▪ July 15 | Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show at Myrtle Beach Speedway at 6 p.m.
▪ July 16 | Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Dyno Shootout at Myrtle Beach mall from 9 a.m. to noon
▪ July 16 | Cruise from Hooters at Myrtle Beach mall to Darlington Drag Strip from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
▪ July 16 | Mickey Thompson Darlington Drag Night from 4 to 11 p.m.
▪ July 17 | Car show at Myrtle Beach mall with 8:30 a.m. check-in and 11 a.m. start
▪ July 18 | Car show and cruise-in at Myrtle Beach mall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
▪ July 18 | Car show awards and raffle drawing at Myrtle Beach mall at 3 p.m.

If you need a little boost to get back into it, check out “Healthy You Day” in Georgetown on Saturday. Georgetown Diabetes CORE is hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Bay Park and will have live jazz music, arts and craft vendors, and more.

If you’re on the lookout for the perfect pet, there’s an event coming up that you might want to check out.
“Woofstock,” by St. Frances Animal Center of Georgetown, is a 24-hour event from 3 p.m. Saturday-3 p.m. Sunday, at PetSmart, 1530 U.S. 17 N., North Myrtle Beach.
It’s a 24-hour adoptathon with animals from local shelters, 1960s music, a children’s area, demonstrations and giveaways. Free admission. Call 546-0780 or www.sfanimals.org.
