Ever wanted to break or set a world record? This Thursday, you have a chance to be a part of an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest swimming lesson at Myrtle Waves Water Park in Myrtle Beach.
You can actually participate at any participating aquatic facility, but Myrtle Waves is an official host location. Added bonus: Be on of the first 50 participants and get free general admission for the day. It’s hot out there, so cool off for free AND make history at the same time. Win-win. It takes place at 10 a.m. and additional participants are $16.99 each for the lesson which also includes general admission to the park (regular park price is $26.99 for heights of 48 inches and $19.99 for heights under 48inches). Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the 30-minute lesson starting promptly at 10 a.m.
“As safety is our No. 1 priority, we welcome guests to participate in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson,” said Brent Owens, general manager of Myrtle Waves Water Park. “This is our fifth year hosting the event and we hope that many area children and adults will join us for the lesson and learn how to swim.” For more information, visit www.MyrtleWaves.com.
