Who doesn’t like a good tribute?

The House of Blues, in Barefoot Landing, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach, has a busy weekend planned before closing out May, and it’s busy with tribute acts.

▪ Jana Kramer and Kelsea Ballerini, 8 p.m. Thursday.

▪ Heart Brigade – A Tribute to Heart, 9:45 p.m. Friday.

▪ Departure – A Tribute to Journey, 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

▪ Draw the Line – A Tribute to Aerosmith, 8:30 p.m. June 5.

The concert is part of the North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation Department’s Music on Main Summer Concert Series.


Barefoot Landing is hosting second Annual Paddle for the Pets Build Your Own Boat Race and Festival on Saturday. The family-friendly festivities begin at noon between Flying Fish Public Market & Grill and TBonz Gill & Grill.

Play cornhole, visit the petting zoo, play interactive games, throw a few at the dunking booth all the while being entertained by live tunes by Pale Horse. The Furry Fashion Show starts at 1 p.m., so bring your pooch dressed in his finest duds.

Then get ready to watch the boat race at 3 p.m. Teams of four will be building boats on site during the event and then racing across the waterway.

You know it’s summer when Barefoot and Broadway kick of their summer entertainment series.

Enjoy fireworks at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach: every Monday night, June 1-Aug. 31, fireworks will light up the sky starting at 10:15 p.m.

Fireworks will go off Tuesday nights starting June 2 at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach starting at 10 p.m. There will also be live entertainment, face painting, stunt and comedy shows and more on various nights of the week all summer long.
