On the Fly | Foodies, rejoice! Lots of food fun happening across Myrtle Beach this weekend
THURSDAY
Enjoy food, drinks and fun with your friends in the Inlet! The Restaurant Roadshow features a local restaurant every other week until Memorial Day. When you dine at Dead Dog Saloon Thursday night between 5 and 9 p.m., you support the restaurant and Murrells Inlet 2020 because a portion of the proceeds from that night’s sales are donated to those groups. $1,000 was raised during the last roadshow, according to 2020.
Upcoming dates for the Restaurant Roadshow include May 4 at Texas Roadhouse and May 18 at King Street Grille in Murrells Inlet.
SATURDAY
There’s going to be so much fun happening in Socastee on Saturday that it’s going to shut down roads.
The annual Socastee Heritage Festival is this Saturday, and Dick Pond Road is going to be closed during the event to make room for all the revelry. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and includes inflatables, games, performing arts demonstrations, vendors, food, music, corn hole, a car show and more. All that fun is packed onto Dick Pond Road from the main intersection in Socastee to Peachtree Road.
The event is a fundraiser for Socastee kids and is hosted by the Socastee Heritage Foundation, which aims to provide awareness of Socastee’s heritage, raise funds for the community’s needs and develop community pride.
Visit www.socasteehf.com for more information.
