Spare change
Conway police are searching for a suspect who allegedly broke into an area business and stole about $5 in change.
Currency taken was in three ones and a roll of nickels.
Police are asking anyone with a lemonade stand or a baseball card collection to be on the lookout.

Movie madness
A Myrtle Beach couple was arrested in connection with criminal domestic violence following an argument that occurred either before or after the pair watched a movie, police said.
Police spoke with Morris and said there were inconsistencies in her story. She initially told police she fought with Covington about trying to have sexual relations. She then told police that they got into a “scuffle” over watching a movie together, according to the police report.
Possible scenarios:
a) He almost made it through a Twilight marathon.
b) They got into a dispute over who was the better Hulk, Ed Norton or Mark Ruffalo.
c) She said “Die Hard” wasn’t very realistic.
At least she didn’t bring up “Roadhouse.”

Driving lessons
A Myrtle Beach man learned that he should have paid more attention in driver’s education class (or maybe it was better that he didn’t) when he couldn’t drive a car away from a kidnapping attempt last week.
Demetric Jerod Nelson, 27, who was already wanted in Horry County on child cruelty charges, found himself stuck with no way out after he put a woman in the trunk and discovered he couldn’t drive.
The failed kidnapping happened on April 15, after Nelson reportedly went to the woman’s house in Sumter and broke into her home.
He then forced her to drive to a nearby location, where he shoved her into the trunk at gunpoint.
Maybe he should have let her drive, because Nelson soon found that he had to escape the scene on foot.
He reportedly struggled with the stick shift, then ran away.
Meanwhile, the woman managed managed to escape the trunk by using the emergency latch.
When Nelson was found, he still had the car keys, reports said, which were doing him a great deal of good at that point.
Nelson was soon charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
A check of jail records at J. Reuben Long Detention Center shows Nelson has a very long list of offenses, including domestic violence, child cruelty, failure to appear and shoplifting.
No word on when he will return to Horry County to face the local warrants still waiting for him.

Tattoo you
In a strange case of misplaced advertising, a man with a “locals only” tattoo on his stomach is being sought by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
The man is suspected of stealing golf clubs from the area of Long Creek Drive in Murrells Inlet on April 12, according to information from the Sheriff’s Office.
A shirtless man with an ugly, tasteless tattoo carrying golf clubs shouldn’t be that hard to find.
The Sheriff’s Office is now asking the public’s help in finding the thief.
After he stole the clubs, investigators said he went to Aker’s Discount Golf in nearby Murrells Inlet.
The business notified the Sheriff’s Office that they had a customer with “locals only” written on his stomach at that location.
It was likely the only customer they had that day, or possibly ever, who fit that exact description.
He was attempting to sell the clubs at the business when he was caught in an unflattering shot on the surveillance camera.
The suspected thief is a male, wearing scruffy blue jeans, and not much else.
Anyone with any information should call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 546-5101.
