Rodeo Bar and Grill at Broadway at the Beach has closed its doors for good, but Country Roads opened in the space at the tail end of March. More a bar than a restaurant, this club offers craft beers, several lounges, and a dance floor to party the night away. 710 will offer 14 standard bowling lanes, six boutique lanes, billiards, bocce courts, table tennis, shuffleboard tables and air hockey for hourly rental. 710 will have a modern southern comfort menu full of new ideas alongside traditional favorites. The new spot is offering premium ingredients and fresh-squeezed juices for their signature cocktails. Down in Pawleys Island, the locals are excited for the newly opened Publix supermarket on Ocean Highway in the Pawleys Island Plaza. Publix is known for its fresh produce and selling as much local products as possible. This new grocery store offers all the benefits expected from supermarkets nowadays, such as a deli, a bakery, a florist, butchery and pharmacy. This Publix is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., though the pharmacy hours do vary. Nosh in Pawleys Island at the Hammock Shops is undergoing some changes before the summer season. According to its Facebook page, its are rebranding into four separate entities.
The main dining room, which will be renamed Pawleys Prime, will feature top quality prime meats and seafood. The middle area, previously known as the bistro room, is being converted to a Cera Sushi Cafe. The outside covered deck will still be The Pavilion and will feature an all-day menu with customer favorites, affordable menu items, and daily specials for your dining pleasure. Local bands will return to play on the deck beginning May 15. The banquet room upstairs will continue to offer a venue for meetings, rehearsal dinners, and reception.
