Fun this week for bikers, baseball lovers and foodies

THURSDAY

Thursday nights are all about the bikers at the House of Blues outdoor deck.

From 5-9 p.m. every Thursday there is free admission to the deck for entertainment, drink and food specials, and door prizes.

The House of Blues is at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Visit www.houseofblues.com/myrtlebeach.

THURSDAY

Get out to the ballgame this Thursday as the Myrtle Beach Pelicans open their first season as an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Every Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, which means you get Bud or Bud Light 12-ounce draughts for $1 from 6-8 p.m.

There will also be fireworks after the show, and Surge will be there handing out swag and taking Party Pix.

The ballfield is at 21st Avenue North and Robert Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. Visit myrtlebeachpelicans.com for more information or to buy tickets.

TUESDAY

Add some flavor to your week with a free culinary event at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Tuesday from 4-7:30 p.m.

f.l.a.v.o.r. is back for its fifth year to raise money for Horry-Georgetown Technical College culinary scholarships. Buy sample tickets from $1.25-$2 each to try food from Grand Strand area restaurants, which will be there making tasty treats for all attendees. Don’t miss out on door prizes, either.

The convention center is at 2101 N. Oak St. Call 843-855-0527 for more information.

SATURDAY

Ever wanted to watch golf and play golf at the same time?

The Marshwalk down in Murrells Inlet thought so, and they’ve got just the event for you.

The MarshWalk Masters is on Saturday from 3-7 p.m. For 20 bucks, you can putt your way through the Marshwalk. Stop at each restaurant to play a hole (nine total); the lowest score wins a cash prize. You can also buy mulligans for $5 a pop, however many you want. Each eatery will have drink and app specials and you can watch the Augusta Masters tournament as you play.

The fun happens in rain or shine, so bring an umbrella, and no team play is allowed. Participants can check in (or you can register day of) from 2-5 p.m. between Drunken Jack’s and Wahoo’s. Go to marshwalk.com/special-events to register online through Thursday.

WEDNESDAY

Hang out and laugh with your fly wide open with improv comedians at Uptown Theater at the Myrtle Beach mall. The Pansters troupe is three performers who will be sharing intimate details about real-life experiences, then take the stage and breathe life to the story in their own way. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and you’ve gotta be 18 to “zip” and 21 to “sip” (they sell some alcoholic beverages at the door). Call 843-272-4242 for more information.
