What’s it like to work in an English Pub? It’s different. The accents and the different varieties of food. You learn a lot about how to pour an Englishman his drink. They love their Guinness and Boddingtons.
Are you English? I am not.
What is your heritage? My father was French. My mom is American Indian ... West Virginian hillbilly.
What is your favorite English dish? We have a Steak and Ale Pie. That’s good.
Which English dish could you go without? Liver and onions.
What do you do when you’re not working? I’m a NASCAR fan. I like to go to the races, and I enjoy a casino every now and again. And I try to take a cruise once a year.
Who is your race car driver of choice? Jeff Gordon, through and through. No. 24.
So what do you think about him retiring? I’m not happy but he did his time and he’s going out on a good number - 24 years and No. 24. He changed the face of NASCAR. He really brought it to the forefront and I’m glad he’s getting his credit.
Who will you pull for now? I’m going to give Chase Elliott a chance because he’s going to replace Gordon. I don’t know how long I’ll pull for him, though.
Have you ever driven a racecar? I have not, but my mother is a racecar driver. I grew up watching her race on dirt tracks. She was very good. I remember the trophies and the half-gallon of George Dickel Whiskey she would win.
If given the opportunity, would you rather be a NASCAR driver or a professional gambler? NASCAR driver ... the need for speed.
