Boathouse’s Sunday concert series to include C+C Music Factory, Saliva. See the others

The start of The Boathouse’s Sunday concert series was delayed a couple months by the coronavirus, but there is now a weekly lineup through Labor Day weekend.

The outdoor stage over the Intracoastal Waterway at The Landing at the Boathouse will feature a mix of hip hop, rap, country, rock and ska music for free over the next three months.

It is highlighted by the legendary dance music band C+C Music Factory on July 12, hip hop stars The Ying Yang Twins on July 26, rapper Shwayze on July 19, Rehab on July 5, and rock band Saliva closing out the series on Sept. 6.

Country music artists featured include Muscadine Bloodline, Jon Langston and The Lacs, a country rap duo.

C+C Music Factory released its debut album in 1990 and it produced the dance music anthems “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” “Here We Go Let’s Rock & Roll” and “Things That Make You Go Hmmm.”

The Ying Yang Twins feature the hit singles “Get Low,” “Salt Shaker,” “Wait (The Whisper Song)” and “Whistle While You Twurk.”

Saliva has produced several hit rock songs including “Your Disease,” “Click Click Boom,” “Ladies and Gentlemen,” “Superstar,” “Always,” and “Doperide.”

The rock band VillaNova, aka Weaving the Fate, which is appearing June 21, has produced national singles “Str8 to the Bottom” and “Rack City.”

Schwayze’s singles include “Buzzin,” and “Corona and Lime.”

Cover bands Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi), and Check Your Head (Beastie Boys) are also on the lineup.

The reggae band Mystic Vibrations began the Sunday concert series this past weekend.
