‘Mopars at the Beach’ opens with meet-and-greet

The 2016 “Mopars at the Beach,” by Coastal Carolina Mopars and benefiting local charities, opens with a meet-and-greet, 9 a.m. at Cheeseburger in Paradise, 7211 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach. Details at coastalcarolinamopars.com. Other events are:

▪ Charity ride, 10:30 a.m. Friday from Lincoln Park Bar & Grill, 8739 U.S. 17 Bypass S., west of Surfside Beach, and 1 mile south of S.C. 544. Registration $25.

▪ Car show, all day Saturday at Inlet Square, along U.S. 17 (nstead of U.S. 17 Business side) in Murrells Inlet. Registration 8-11 a.m. for $25; free to see.

▪ Cruise-in, 8 a.m. Sunday, at Wheels of Yesteryear, 413 Hospitality Lane, near Carolina Forest, off U.S. 501, across from main entrance to Tanger Outlets, by Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Chipmunks close series at mall’s Carmike 12

The Serendipity Singers, a woman's choral group, will resume rehearsals to prepare for a new season, and new voices are welcome.
