The Alabama Theatre, on the north end of Barefoot Landing, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach, has three special concerts booked with big names to round out July:

▪ Temptations and Four Tops, 7 p.m. July 28, for $49.95, $58.95 or $67.95.

▪ Rick Alviti Showband’s “That's The Way it Was – Tribute To Elvis,” 7:30 p.m. July 31, for $27.40 or $34.95.

Toss your name in for cornhole championship benefit

Registration continues for the 2016 Myrtle Beach Cornhole Classic Championship, a benefit for The Outreach Farm, a nonprofit that provides protein to local Grand Strand charities that feed the hungry.

The tourney is Saturday-Sunday, opening at 10 a.m. daily, at Myrtle Beach Speedway, 455 Hospitality Lane, off U.S. 501, about three miles north of Myrtle Beach, and just past S.C. 31.

The town of Surfside Beach has a number of free, special activities to round out summer on the sands outside the town pier, 11 N. Ocean Blvd., at Surfside Drive:
