Myrtle Beach State Park abloom in nature programs

Myrtle Beach State Park, on U.S. 17, just south of city limits, is getting back into the groove with its array of programs, mostly in the nature center, with this schedule for March:

▪ Wednesdays – “Gator Gossip,” 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.; and “Fish Cleaning Demonstration,” 2-2:30 p.m. March 23 and 30 only, by pier.

▪ Thursdays – “Hermie the Hermit Crab,” for ages 4-6, 11:30 a.m.-noon; and “Feeding Time,” 2-2:30 p.m.

▪ Fridays – “Backyard Bird ID,” for ages 8 and older, 2-2:30 p.m.; and “Learn to Throw a Cast Net,” 11:30 a.m.-noon March 18 and 25, on beach by pier.
