‘Urinetown’ musical fills Main Street Theatre

Theatre of the Republic, continuing its 46th season, has opened “Urinetown the Musical,” a musical comedy that begins with a greeting of “Welcome to ‘Urinetown the Musical,’ the musical with a bad title and bad subject matter.”

See this upbeat play, without any foul language in showing how a water-shortage-stricken community copes with a ban on private toilets, with shows 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays-Saturdays and 3 p.m Sundays through Feb. 28, for $23, at the Main Street Theatre, 335 Main St., Conway.
