12th annual French Film Festival spans two weekends
The 12th annual French Film Festival in Pawleys Island – by Coastal Carolina University, Friends of Waccamaw Library and Institut Francais – will roll at the Georgetown County Library’s Waccamaw Neck branch, with this schedule of award-winning cinema, all rated PG-13:
▪ 7 p.m. Friday – “Elle L’Adore (Number One Fan),” comedy thriller from 2014.
▪ 7 p.m. Saturday – “Loin des Hommes (Far from Men),” drama, 2014.
▪ 2:30 p.m. Sunday – “Berthe Morisot,” 2012.
▪ Feb. 13 – “La Famille Belier (The Belier Family),” comedy-drama, 2014, at 2:30 p.m.; and “Les Souvenirs (Memories), 2014, at 7 p.m.
▪ 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14 – “Belle et Sebastien (Belle and Sebastian),” 2013, based on French TV series from 1965.
All films are in French with English subtitles, for $3 each, or $5 pass for whole series.
