Things to do in the Myrtle Beach area on Jan. 12

Even though scenes such as this moth resting on a lavender plant are not commonplace in winter, warmer weather is on the minds of members of the Low Country Herb Society, which will meet, also with a presentation on “Beneficial Weeds” with Patricia Candal, an herbalist and beekeeper. Gather at 9:30 a.m. at Georgetown County Library’s new Waccamaw Neck branch, 41 St. Paul Place, Litchfield Beach, off Willbrook Boulevard. Details at www.lcherbsociety.info.
