‘Festival of Trees’ in final two days

Ripley’s Aquarium’s “Festival of Trees” continues through Thursday, celebrating every U.S. state and territory with its own tree of decorations. Details at 843-916-0888 or www.ripleysaquarium.com.

Planetarium, museum open extra days

Two sister entities in southern Brunswick County, N.C., have extra hours this week, but are closed Friday.

At Ingram Planetarium, 7625 High Market St., Sunset Beach:

▪ “Let It Snow – A Holiday Music Journey,” noon and 4 and 7 p.m., and “Laser Holidays” 6 p.m.Wednesday and Saturday.

▪ Wednesday and Saturday – “Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea” 1 p.m., “Back to the Moon for Good” 2 p.m., and “Two Small Pieces of Glass” 3 p.m.

▪ Thursday – “Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure” 1 p.m., “Undiscovered Worlds” 2 p.m. , and “Oasis in Space” 3 p.m.

The Museum of Coastal Carolina, 21 E. Second St., Ocean Isle Beach, also is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and Saturday.

Each planetarium show, and museum admission, is $9 for ages 13-62, $8 ages 62 and older, $7 ages 3-12, and free ages 2 and younger.
