For Theatre of the Republic, ‘It’s Only a Play’
Theatre of the Republic has added a play to its lineup to kick off 2016.
The comedy “It’s Only a Play” – about various people’s reactions on the opening night of “The Golden Egg on Broadway” – opens Jan. 7 for two weekends, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through Jan. 17 at the Main Street Theatre, 335 Main St., Conway/
All tickets are $18 for this, and for “Love Letters,” with Chuck Stokes and wife Diane DeVaughn Stokes, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13.

WonderWorks enacts local discount year round
WonderWorks, an indoor and scientific playground at U.S. 17 Bypass and 21st Avenue North, near the Palace Theatre, rings in 2016 with a year-round locals’ $5 discount as of Friday, for residents of Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick counties with photo ID.
All-access admission, plus tax, is $27.99 for ages 13-59, $17.99 ages 4-12 and 60 and older, and free ages 3 and younger; and the price includes a game of laser tag.
The site is is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays.
