Add your ‘Oddament’ to Ripley’s ‘Odditree’

Anyone with an odd or strange Christmas ornament has an outlet to unload it, for the new “Odditree” at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Myrtle Beach.

Through Dec. 31, individuals who bring in an “Oddament” for this special tree will receive admission for $6, plus tax, to any of these three Ripley’s sites on the 900 block of North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach: the Odditorium, 5D Moving Theater, and Marvelous Mirror Maze. Each school-age visitor who donates an item and brings a copy of his or her current report receives $1 admission.

‘Let It Snow’ inside Ingram Planetarium

Ingram Planetarium, 7625 High Market St., Sunset Beach, N.C., will blast off this weekend with a yuletide schedule in its Sky Theater dome, through Jan. 2.

“Let It Snow – A Holiday Music Journey,” including a multi-media finale by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, will premiere on Friday, with screenings at noon and 4 and 7 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and on Dec. 28-30 – but not Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Also, “Laser Holidays” will play at 6 p.m. those days weekly, but not on Dec. 24.

Other shows in this schedule:
