Festivals stay in high supply for November
The amount of special events this fall continues to remain in overdrive, and yuletide activities will start to command a bigger chunk as November gives way to the final month of 2015.
Although Thanksgiving appears deeper – and maybe too easily forgotten – in the shadows in the universal marketing of Halloween and Christmas, a trio of “turkey trots” are on tap for Nov. 26, the same day the 46th annual S.C. State Bluegrass Festival opens for the weekend at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Fans of cinema might enjoy an easy escape north on U.S. 17 this weekend for the 21st annual Cucalorus Film Festival, daily through Sunday, at various sites in Wilmington, N.C.
Two weekends of meet-and-greets through “Grand Strand Authors Book Signing Events” are booked for Nov. 20-21 and Dec. 11-12 at the Horry County Memorial Library Socastee branch.
The countdown also rolls on for the eighth annual “Horry County Dancing with the Stars,” benefiting the Horry County K-12 Foundation, Nov. 21 at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach.
Check out this roundup of some area outings through the first weekend of December, and find something fun, no matter whether harvest or holiday season makes you smile the most.
