Three theaters open yuletide shows

Three theaters open their Christmas house shows for the next two months, all through Jan. 2. Prices and show times vary by site:

▪ “The Carolina Opry Christmas Special,” 7 p.m. at Calvin Gilmore Theatre, on U.S. 17 Business, near northern junction of U.S. 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach. 843-913-4000 or www.thecarolinaopry.com.

▪ Legends in Concert, 8 p.m. with tributes to Nat King Cole, Dolly Parton. Local rates sail on Barefoot Princess

The Barefoot Princess Riverboat sails with “locals appreciation” deals on certain cruises through mid-November. Residents of six proximate counties – including Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick – who show a driver’s license can obtain special rates for as many as six people. ▪ Two-hour dinner cruises – 4:30 p.m. Monday and Nov. 14 and 16; 5 p.m. Nov. 5; and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17 – for $30 ages 11 and older, and $21 ages 2-10.

▪ 90-minute, regular sightseeing cruises – noon Nov. 7 and 10 – for $15 ages 11 and older, and $10 ages 2-10.

Details: From Barefoot Landing Marina, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach, next to Greg Norman Australian Grille. All rides are free for lap children, ages 1 and younger.

Hypnosis shows in new home

Catch the “Wild 4 Hypnosis Comedy Show,” by married pair Rich and Elizabeth Wylde, this week in a “Fusion” mix at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and for adults at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Details at 843-765-4386 or www.big-laughs.com.

Go ‘Coastal Kayaking’
