BLG and T1 traded kills and objectives throughout a tense first game, with BLG holding the edge during the mid game. However, a heroic two-versus-four stand by T1 mid laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and bot laner Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan resulted in an ace that denied BLG's Baron push. T1 later aced BLG again during another Baron fight to secure the opening victory.
The second game remained closely contested through the early and mid game as both teams continued to trade advantages. BLG found the turning point after winning a crucial teamfight in the bottom lane, shifting the momentum firmly in its favor. The LPL representatives capitalized on the advantage and outplayed T1 in the succeeding fights to level the series.

The third game featured far fewer kills, but BLG maintained control through superior dragon stacking. After securing the Dragon Soul, BLG found several key picks that prevented T1 from contesting the map. Those advantages allowed BLG to close out the game and move within one win of the series.
BLG struck first in the fourth game with an early kill lead, but T1 quickly responded after picking up two kills in the bottom lane. The LCK representatives continued to snowball through their bot lane, winning fight after fight to regain control of the game. T1 rode that momentum to force a decisive fifth game.
