LYON Sweep FURIA at MSI 2026
LYON swept FURIA 3-0 to advance in the MSI 2026 Knockout Stage. Despite the final score, the series was far more competitive than it appeared. FURIA built early leads in multiple games but couldn't close them out. Here's a recap of how LYON completed the sweep.

FURIA came out swinging in the first game, building an early kill lead and continuing to outperform LYON throughout the mid game. However, a heroic performance from LYON bot laner Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol turned the tide after FURIA secured the Dragon Soul. Berserker helped LYON secure an ace before another decisive teamfight gave his team the opening victory.
The second game saw FURIA once again take the early kill lead, but LYON maintained a gold advantage through superior objective control and macro play. Both teams traded kills throughout the high-scoring contest, keeping the game close for much of the match. LYON eventually pulled ahead with stronger late game teamfighting to move within one win of the series.

The third game featured the closest early game of the series, with both teams remaining even in kills while FURIA established an early advantage in dragon stacking. The momentum shifted after LYON picked up three kills in the mid lane before securing Baron shortly afterward. With Baron in hand, LYON snowballed its lead and steamrolled FURIA to complete the 3-0 sweep.
With the victory, LYON advances to the next round of the MSI 2026 Knockout Stage, where they will face the winner of Bilibili Gaming and T1. Meanwhile, FURIA drops to the lower bracket and must win its remaining matches to keep its tournament hopes alive.
