Jodie Sweetin Shades Lori Loughlin's Ex Mossimo Giannulli After Their Split

Jodie Sweetin threw some not-so-subtle shade at Lori Loughlin‘s estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli, while showing support for her former Full Housecostar.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at The Abbey's 35th anniversary party in West Hollywood on Wednesday, May 20, Sweetin, 44, gushed over Loughlin's new look amid her separation, saying, "She looks gorgeous! I haven't seen her in a while, but I'm sure she looks absolutely amazing."

Sweetin credited the recent changes in Loughlin's life.

"There's nothing like dropping some dead weight to get you back out there looking cute," she quipped with a wink. "Her and [daughter] Olivia look exactly the same. And you know what? Bless."

Loughlin, 61, recently debuted a dramatic new look following her separation from Giannulli, 62. The couple, who got married in 1997, faced their fair share of obstacles in the public eye after they were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters, Bella and Olivia Jade, into the University of Southern California.

Loughlin and Giannulli were indicted in March 2019, and they pleaded guilty to fraud charges in May 2020.

The actress was sentenced to two months behind bars and was released in December 2020. Giannulli, meanwhile, was released in April 2021 after serving a five-month sentence.

Although they initially put on a united front, news broke in October 2025 that Loughlin and Giannulli had separated after nearly 28 years of marriage.

"They are living apart now," Loughlin's rep said in a statement to Us at the time. "There are no legal proceedings underway."

A source later told Us that there were "many people in Lori's orbit" who were "angry at Mossimo." More recently, another insider offered insight into Loughlin's plans to date again.

"Lori has been putting herself back out there after her split from Mossimo and is dating again," a source shared in April about how Loughlin is "just having fun and keeping things light and casual."

The insider added: "It is nothing serious, [but Lori] "feels like she got her spark back. [She] is in such a good headspace lately."

According to the source, Loughlin was looking to start fresh.

"The dust has settled, and she's really leaning into this season of life, enjoying her independence, spending a lot of time with her girls and having fun," the insider continued. "Her friends are always trying to set her up. She is just having fun with it all. She feels her life has gotten better and less heavy recently."
