Program chronicles hurricanes

A summer series on Tuesdays continues with “North Carolina’s Hurricane History,” with host and author Jay Barnes, covering such storms as Hazel, Donna, Fran, Floyd, Irene, and Sandy. Details at 910-579-1016 or www.musemplanetarium.org.

‘Earth to Echo’ for free

Free matinees for youth end

This is the final week for children ages 3-16 to receive free admission for matinees to see a summer lineup of tribute artists that continues through Sept. 6: the Blues Brothers, Kenny Chesney, Katy Perry, Prince, Elvis Presley, and Michael Jackson.
