Coastal Carolina University welcomes girls and boys ages 4-18 at its Summer Youth Cheer Camp. Registration opens at 2 p.m. at Ultimate Gymnastics Academy, 1310 17th Ave. S., Myrtle Beach, with the camp, 3-5 p.m. Participants then will meet at 6 p.m. at the home site of Myrtle Beach Pelicans – TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, 1251 21st Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, with parking lot entry from Robert M. Catch “Family Night” on Thursdays, with “Evening Bed Check With the Animals,” 5 p.m. across Lowcountry Zoo; storytelling with Donna Catton-Johnson, 6 p.m. in Enchanted Storybook Forest; and “A Pirate Adventure at Brookgreen” creek excursions for families, at 5, 6 and 7 p.m., for an extra fee besides garden admission: $8 ages 13 and older, and $4 ages 4-12.
