Comedy at Coastal Carolina: ‘Last Comic Standing’ alums to perform for students, public
Get ready to laugh, Chanticleers and local residents.
Comedians Roy Wood Jr., best known for his work on “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah,” and Jessi Campbell, who performed on NBC’s “The Last Comic Standing,” are set to perform next week at Coastal Carolina University’s HTC Center.
CCU announced the event in a news release this week.
The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 and is open to the public. Tickets are available for $10 at the Wheelwright Box Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., via phone at 843-349-2787 or online.
Students can get free tickets by showing their student ID.
Wood has also done a handful of standup specials over the years and is a Last Comic Standing alumni.
Campbell has performed at Gilda’s LaughFest, The Boston Comedy Festival, The Great American Comedy Festival, San Francisco SketchFest, and was the People’s Choice winner at the 2009 Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.
