Escape for ‘Moonlight’ film at Thalian Hall
Fans of independent, classic, foreign and notable films might like an easy escape for Cinematique of Wilmington, next with “Moonlight,” chronicling a man’s life from childhood to adulthood. It’s rated R, and 110 minutes long. Details at 910-632-2285 or thalianhall.org.

CCU seniors’ art exhibited in gallery

Brookgreen Gardens is open daily outside of its annual “Nights of a Thousand Candles” – which is 3-10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and a finale Dec. 18, with its own advance-only admission rate (call 888-718-4253) – and the exhibits “Holiday Memories of Yesteryear: Nostalgia, Beauty, and Fun,” with electric model trains, and “A Forest Sanctuary,” in a horticulture theme, continue through Jan. 2.
